Returns & Refunds Policy

At Ayashime we want you to love every piece you order. If something isn't right, we're here to help.

14-Day Return Window

You have 14 days from the date you receive your item to request a return. Returns requested after this 14-day window cannot be accepted.

Pre-order items are also covered by the 14-day window β€” the clock starts when the pre-order ships and is delivered to you, not when you originally placed the order.

Condition of Returned Items

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and unused
  • In their original condition
  • With all original tags still attached
  • In the original packaging
  • Free from stains, odors (including perfume, smoke or deodorant), pet hair, or any signs of wear

Items returned in a condition that does not meet these requirements may be refused or refunded at a reduced amount at our discretion.

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and product integrity reasons, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Free gift items received as part of a promotion
  • Items marked as final sale at the time of purchase
  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper care, or normal wear and tear
  • Items returned outside the 14-day window

How to Start a Return

  1. Email us at support@ayashime.com within 14 days of receiving your order
  2. Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return
  3. For damaged or defective items, please include clear photos showing the issue
  4. We will reply within 1–2 business days with return instructions and the return address

Important: Do not ship items back without first contacting us and receiving return instructions. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

Return Shipping Costs

If you choose to return an item, you are responsible for arranging and paying for the return shipping. We do not provide prepaid return labels for change-of-mind returns.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance β€” we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item if it is lost or damaged in transit.

We do not accept unpaid or COD (Cash on Delivery) returns. Any return shipped COD will be refused.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will email you to confirm whether your refund has been approved.

If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 3–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable. Refunds cover the cost of the returned item only.

We do not issue store credit unless specifically requested by you.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@ayashime.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue (and packaging if relevant)
  • A brief description of the problem

For confirmed damaged or defective items, you may choose between:

  • A free replacement at no additional cost (subject to availability)
  • A full refund to your original payment method

For damaged or defective items, we cover return shipping costs (when a return is required) and provide replacements or refunds at no additional cost to you.

Lost or Missing Packages

Once your order is handed to the shipping carrier and tracking is updated, the carrier becomes responsible for delivery. If your tracking shows "delivered" but you have not received your package:

  1. Check with neighbors and your local post office
  2. Wait 48 hours β€” packages occasionally show as delivered before they actually arrive
  3. If still missing, contact us at support@ayashime.com within 7 days so we can help open a carrier investigation

If the carrier confirms a package as lost in transit (i.e., never delivered), we will work with you on a replacement or refund.

Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size or color, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the item you want.

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us at support@ayashime.com as soon as possible. Once an order has been processed and shipped, it can no longer be cancelled β€” you will need to follow our standard return process after the item is delivered.

EU/UK Cooling-Off Period

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. Our 14-day return policy meets and aligns with these legal requirements.
